Verified Injector Data Sources

Every claim on this site belongs to somebody. This page maps each field on a clinic record to the source it came from, and says plainly which fields do not exist yet.

Which fact comes from which source

FieldSourceKindNotes
Clinic identity: name, city, websiteOverture Maps Places and Foursquare OS PlacesOpen business datasetsUsed under CDLA-Permissive-2.0 and Apache 2.0. Not authoritative about what a business does.
Business type: med spa or physician practiceVerified Injector classifier, from the clinic websiteDerivedCategory data is a starting filter; what a business is gets decided by reading its own site.
Clinician name, credential and roleThe clinic's own public websitePrimary, quotedEvery name is a literal slice of the page we stored, with the URL and the date we read it.
Injector and medical director designationThe clinic's own public websitePrimary, quotedPopulated only where the clinic connected that person to injecting or named them director. Never inferred from a credential.
Provider identity and specialtyNational Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPI Registry)Federal registerConfirms identity and points at the right board. Its license numbers are self-reported at enrolment and are never the evidence.
License type, number, status and expiryThe state licensing board that issued itState registerQuoted in the board's own status word, with the date the board published the file and the date we read it.
Board action disclosureThe state licensing boardState registerShown where the board publishes it. Where a board does not, the record says so rather than reading as clean.
Verification statusVerified InjectorDerived, versionedA pure function of the records above under a named ruleset version, recorded on every listing.
Check datesVerified InjectorRecordedEvery claim carries the date it was read. A status without its date is a claim about now, which is not what we checked.
Treatments offeredNot yet extractedPlannedThe pipeline does not yet read treatment menus, so no record asserts that a clinic offers a treatment.

What we do not use

Coverage by state

A source only helps where the state publishes it. Which credentials can be checked in each market, and which cannot, is on license coverage.

Machine-readable records

Any clinic record is also available as JSON at /data/clinic/{slug}, with the same field names the page uses and the source and date on every claim, and each record page links to its own as “Machine-readable record”. The HTML page is the product; this is for a tool that would rather not parse one.

FieldWhat it holds
verification_statusverified, partially_verified, not_yet_verified or under_review. The page's words are Verified, Partly checked, Not yet checked.
ruleset_versionThe verification ruleset that produced the status, for example v1-2026-09-01. Null where no check has run for this clinic, rather than a label.
last_checkedWhen the license records behind the status were read. Null where no check has run.
clinicians[].check_stateWhere that clinician's license check landed: verified, not_matched, record_found_unconfirmed, register_not_held or not_checkable. Only verified is a match; none of the others is a finding about the person.
clinicians[].check_reasonFor not_checkable and register_not_held, the license adapter's reason code, such as board_unknown or no_snapshot_held.
clinicians[].title_claimedDr where the clinic printed a doctor's title and no credential after the name, and null otherwise. Separate from credential_claimed, which is verbatim what the clinic printed and is null for such a name.
clinicians[].credential_from_registryThe credential the national NPI Registry holds, present only where the clinic printed a title alone and the registry settled on one physician of that name. A different claim from credential_claimed: the clinic said doctor, the registry said which kind.
clinicians[].check_boardThe board that answered, or would have: for register_not_held, the board whose register we do not hold.
clinicians[].credential_conflictWhere the clinic's own website lists this clinician with a physician degree and a nurse or physician assistant credential: the two sides and the clinic's sentences, verbatim. Such a clinician is not verified (check_reason conflicting_credentials) unless state records confirm both licenses. Null otherwise.
clinicians[].npi_checked_atWhen the NPI Registry was asked. The NPI confirms identity only, and a license result always comes from the state board.
clinicians[].licensePresent only for a matched license: the board's own status word, number, expiry, the file we read, and registry_link with registry_link_kind (record for a page about this license, search for the board's search form).

The correction route is the same for both: report an error, free, and what counts as our error is defined rather than left to judgement.
